DMK president M. Karunanidhi was admitted to Kauvery Hospital at Alwarpet in Chennai after a month long illness due to an allergy.
The nonagenarian leader has been confined to his house due to the allergy and had reportedly stopped meeting visitors and party workers.
The 92-year-old according to Kauvery press release has been admitted for optimisation of nutrition and hydration.
The release also states that Mr Karunanidhi is stable and being treated by a team of doctors. He will be in the hospital for few days, it says.
