Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Saturday said his government does not believe in politics of vendetta, caste, and region and is committed to overall and uniform development of entire state.

Addressing a meeting at Shillai in Sirmaur district, he said the BJP governments led by former chief minister P K Dhumal during its tenures “framed” him in “false cases” but he was exonerated by court.

“This time again a simple case of income tax is being probed simultaneously by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate, which is intriguing,” he said.

He said education is key to development and his government has opened large number of schools and colleges and as a result there are 113 colleges and 15,534 schools in the state on Saturday.

He said a medical college would be soon coming up in Nahan for which a provision of Rs 189 crore has been made available.

It will be followed by two more medical colleges in Hamirpur and Chamba while ESIC medical college and hospital at Ner Chowk in Mandi are also being taken over by the government.
