The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started preparations for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The party has organised meeting on Tuesday in Delhi which is being attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah and chief ministers of 15 states.
The meeting is also being attended by deputy CMs and several other party leaders.
During the meeting, the BJP leadership will take stock of works being done in states ruled by the party and issue directions to the CMs. The meeting assumes significance as it is being held just months ahead of Assembly elections in three states - Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
The agenda of good governance and running pro-poor policies has been a key feature of the chief ministers' meetings, which have been taking place regularly since Modi took over as prime minister in 2014.
