Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa was today sacked from AIADMK following a dramatic turn of events which includes her scuffle with DMK MP Trichy Siva and her subsequent allegation of threat to her life in Tamil Nadu.

The Upper House witnessed dramatic scenes as Sasikala broke down and alleged that she was under pressure to quit her post.

Sasikala also claimed that her life is under threat, questioning if the government will protect her.

Deputy Chairman JP Kurien, however asked Pushpa to write to Chairman and Vice President Hamid Ansari to seek protection and not speak in the House against someone who is not present in the House.

After her assertions, the AIADMK expelled Sasikala from the party for 'bringing a bad name' to the party by slapping DMK MP Tiruchi Siva

On Sunday, AIADMK Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa and DMK RS MP Trichy Siva got involved in argument at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Saturday, which later lead to a scuffle.

She had alleged that Siva was making uncharitable remarks+ about the AIADMK and its cadre and that she could not tolerate this.
