IPL 2018: Bollywood set the stage on fire in Opening Ceremony

The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League 2018 kickstarted on April 7 and one of the most highly awaited and anticipated cricket campaigns this year. The 11the edition of the league sees the return of two teams, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings and the latter takes on three-time champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

In all ten seasons of the IPL, Mumbai Indians won the league thrice, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have won the coveted trophy twice, whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers won the trophy once.

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan opened the ceremony with his electrifying performance as his moves were just too smooth as the fans at the Wankhede Stadium cheered on. Dhawan danced to various songs of films he has acted in and was also joined by legendary choreographer Prabhudeva.

Legendary choreographer Prabhudeva graced the fans with his performance as he and Varun Dhawan had a face-off on stage. The dancer cum actor is a huge Chennai Super Kings fan as well.

Three-time champion Mumbai Indian's captain Rohit Sharma was present to unveil the IPL trophy at the opening ceremony. Rohit has led Mumbai on three different occasions to lift the trophy under his guidance as he his team takes on arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings in the opener.

Bollywood's leading actress Jacqueline Fernandes set the stage on fire despite those charming looks as her dance moves mesmerised the crowd at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

A surprise entrance at the opening ceremony saw singer Mika Singh with his energetic performance as he ensured that the people at Wankhede were singing and dancing to his tunes. He sang his super hit songs for the fans as well.

And last but not the least, Bollywood's Greek God Hrithik Roshan was as electrifying as ever. A few break dance moves and that was enough to sway the fans at Wankhede. He danced to his songs he has performed in over the years. Hrithik has been known for his dance performances and as promised, he delivered on center stage.
