Rohit Sharma congratulated Ben Duckett for playing a brilliant hand on the second day in Rajkot Test. Thanks to Duckett's 133-run knock (unbeaten), England responded strongly ending the day at 207/2 after only 35 overs. Duckett will be keen on going big on the third morning as the visitors will look to get close to India's total in the first innings.

Earlier in the day, Dhruv Jurel impressed many with his composure on debut. He did well to score 46 proper Test runs after India lost two quick wickets within the first 30 minutes of play. But Jurel stitched a 77-run partnership with Ashwin to take India past the 400-run mark.

Rehan Ahmed endured a tough outing on Day 1 but he was the man who broke the dogged partnership between Ashwin and Jurel. Moreover, he got out both the set batters as threatened to get close to 500 when they were in the middle. Rehan ended with figures of 2/85 in 22 overs.

While Jasprit Bumrah's main role is to pick wickets, the man shone with the bat as well scoring runs against his favourite opposition. The man smashed 26 runs before getting out adding 30 runs for the last wicket with Mohammed Siraj and helping India post 445 runs.

After being denied the 500th wicket in Tests in Vizag, it didn't take much time for Ashwin to reach the landmark. The man struck first blood for India dismissing Zak Crawley as England got off to a brilliant start. But Ashwin's guile helped him get his 500th wicket in the format as he became only the second Indian bowler to do so.
