The batters are on a show at the ICC World Cup 2023. Out of the nine Player of the match awards in the first week of the tournament, eight have got the honours for either batting or their all-round play.

Rachin Ravindra and Saud Shakeel: In the first two matches of the Cricket World Cup 2023, New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra and Pakistan's Saud Shakeel won the player of the match awards. Ravindra's 123 and a wicket gave him the honour in the ENG vs NZ opener. Whereas Saud received the award for his 68-run knock in PAK vs NED.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Aiden Markram: Bangladesh's Mehidy Hasan Miraz and South Africa's Aiden Markram received the honours in the AFG vs BAN and the SA vs SL match. Mehidy took three wickets and scored 57 in the chase, while Markram struck the fastest century in ODI World Cup history.

Rohit Sharma: India captain Rohit Sharma was adjudged the player of the match for his record-breaking outing in the IND vs AFG game. He scored 131 and shattered numerous records as he helped his side register an 8-wicket win.
