At least eleven more deaths were reported in Uttarakhand on Tuesday as incessant rains continued to lash various parts of the state, especially Kumaon region, razing houses to the ground and leaving many trapped in the debris.

Four people were trapped in the debris of a collapsed house at Rapad village in Bhetrojkhan area of Almora district out of which a woman was rescued safely, the SEOC said.

Ten people from Kolkata who were stranded at Kalchanth on the Rudranath trek route have been rescued by the forest department personnel and brought to Gopeshwar, said Amit Kanwar, Divisional Forest Officer, Kedarnath Forest Division.
