Srinagar shivers at minus 6.6 degrees Celsius as cold wave sweeps Kashmir | PICS

    Popular tourist destinations like Pahalgam and Gulmarg also endured bitter cold, with Pahalgam recording a record low of -7.8 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg a slightly lower temperature of -1.9 degrees Celsius.

    The weight of the cold wave has been felt in the southern parts of Kashmir Valley. The minimum temperature in Shopian Valley plummeted to -8.8 degrees Celsius.

    Neighboring Anantnag and Pulwama districts recorded -8.3 degrees Celsius, while Kulgam recorded -6.7 degrees Celsius.
