Pamban witnessed strong winds on Wednesday. As per IMD, the deep depression is very likely to continue to move north-northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm on 27th November.

Deep depression prevailing over the Bay of Bengal caused strong winds at Marina Beach in Chennai. The schools have been closed in Puducherry and parts of Tamil Nadu. Chennai witnessed 13 cm rainfall in the last 24 hours till 8:30 pm.
