Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor has officially ended her 13 years marriage with business man husband Sanjay Kapur. The two who got married in 2003 have two kids - daughter Samaira and son Raj. Karisma and Sunjay have been fighting their divorce case from mid 2014. The two even made shocking allegations against each other. While Karisma filed a dowry harassment case against her estranged hubby, Sunjay too accused the actress for marrying him for just money. Now the couple has finally got divorced on mutual consent and Karisma has got the custody of their kids. Here we bring the love story of now ex-couple Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur:

Karisma Kapoor married Sunjay Kapoor in 2003 in a grand wedding event. While this was Sunjay’s second marriage, Karisma was also engaged to Abhishek Bachchan, before getting hitched with Kapur.

Karisma and Sunjay welcomed their first child, Samiera, in 2005. While the two looked like a happy couple, rumours of rift between Karisma-Sunjay always kept the tongues wagging.

Reportedly, Karisma had issue shifting to Delhi where Sunjay was based. The couple was even believed to be living separate lives. In 2010, Kiaan was born.

By 2012, the entire B-town was aware about the rift in Sunjay-Karisma’s wedding.

The couple filed a petition for divorce by mutual content in 2014. However it was in 2015, that their divorce case turned ugly after the couple made weird allegations against each other.

Karisma first withdrew her consent to the divorce petition as Sunjay and she couldn’t agree on many points.

Later, Sunjay had accused Karisma of marrying him for his money and that the actress has failed terribly as wife, daughter-in-law and also as a mother.

Randhir Kapoor rubbished Sunjay’s claims and stated that, “Everyone knows our credentials. We are Kapoors. We don't need to run after anyone's money. We have been blessed with not only money, but our talent can support us for the rest of our lives.”

Karisma Kapoor went on to file a dowry case against husband Sunjay and mother-in-law Rani Surinder Kapur under section 498 A dowry prevention act and section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Karisma also alleged that Sunjay Kapoor had married her only because she was a famous and successful film star which would facilitate him to be reported in the press.
