New York, Oct 1 : Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday said his country wants a ‘result-oriented, uninterrupted dialogue' with India that will help find a permanent solution to the Kashmir dispute.
At a meeting with Hurriyat Conference moderate faction chief Mirwaiz Mohammad Umar Farooq, on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session in New York,Zardari said: “Pakistan believes that result-oriented, uninterrupted dialogue process with India will greatly help create a conducive environment to find permanent solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir."
Zardari said Pakistan would continue to extend "political, moral and diplomatic" support to the Kashmiri people.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq thanked Zardari for the support extended by Pakistan to the people of Kashmir.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Ambassador Sherry Rehman and Ambassador Masood Khan were present at the meeting.
