Vienna: A ceasefire reached between the Ukrainian government and pro-independence forces is largely holding in eastern Ukraine, the chairman of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe said Monday.
"Overall the ceasefire held even though it is still shaky," Thomas Greminger said, adding that the next few days would be crucial.
He also said 250 OSCE monitors were currently deployed in Ukraine.
The ceasefire deal was signed in Belarus capital Minsk Friday between the Kiev government and representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. The truce came into effect Friday evening.
