Thousands come out in Ireland to protest death of pregnant Indian woman
Dublin, Nov 16: Thousands of protesters came out on Wednesday outside Ireland's parliament to demand easing of tough abortion rules after pregnant Indian woman Savita died after being repeatedly denied abortion in an Irish hospital.
At least 2,000 people gathered for a candle-lit vigil in Dublin to demand the government legislate to close a legal loophole that leaves it unclear when the threat to the life of a pregnant woman provides legal justification for an abortion.
