Baghdad, July 3: Roadside bomb killed at least seven people in a Baghdad suburb while the bodies of three construction workers were found elsewhere in the Iraqi capital, officials said.
A police officer said the Wednesday morning blast struck at a busy street in the south-eastern suburb of Nahrawan, killing seven people and injuring 15 others.
Another officer said the bodies of three workers were found inside a house under construction in south-eastern Zafaraniyah neighbourhood on Wednesday. The three were shot in the head at close range.
Two medical officials confirmed the casualty figures. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity.
The violence comes a day after 49 people died in a wave of bombings and attacks across Iraq.
