New Delhi: Samantha Lewthwaite or the ‘White Widow' and the world's most wanted woman terrorist, has reportedly been gunned down by a Russian in war-hit eastern region of Ukraine.
Media reports claimed that the ‘White Widow' was killed while fighting against pro-Russian rebels as a sniper for the Ukrainian volunteer battalion -- Aidar.
She had joined Lewthwaite had joined the Aidar just two weeks ago.
The Russian sniper who killed the British terrorist now has a bounty of nearly one million dollars on his head from Ukrainian special services.
Lewthwaite was married to London 7/7 suicide bomber Germaine Lindsay.
Lewthwaite, a native of County Down, had converted to Islam at the age of 15 after moving to Aylesbury.
She had been on the run ever since she was linked to a failed plot to blow up hotels and a shopping centre in Mombasa, Kenya, in 2011.
Reports last month had indicated that she had joined the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS). She was one of its most prominent female fighters of the terror outfit.
