Dubai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi tonight left for home after wrapping up his two-day visit to the strategically-important UAE during which he held talks with the country's top leadership and addressed the Indian diaspora.
"Ila al-liqa UAE! PM @narendramodi departs from Dubai after a breakthrough visit to the United Arab Emirates," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
Modi, who was the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the Gulf nation in 34 years, today held talks with the UAE Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Zayed AI Nahyan and the Ruler of Dubai and UAE Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on a range of issues.
He also addressed a gathering of around 50,000 Indians at the Dubai International Cricket stadium.
