Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said the country is facing internal and external challenges and termed the US drone attacks as counterproductive, Geo News reported.
Addressing participants at Pakistan Army exercises being held in Punjab province, Sharif said: "Gone are the days when our national security policies were determined by phone calls from abroad."
He added that democracy in the country had been strengthened.
He also said that the All Parties Conference (APC) had decided to give peace a chance. "We want the civil society, political parties and Pakistan Army to be on the same level."
