Islamabad: Following the Pakistani Taliban's attack on a school in Peshawar in which scores of people, mostly children, died, Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday vowed to continue the fight against the militants until they are completely eliminated from the country.

"It's a cowardice act this clearly shows that they are not only enemies of Pakistan but they are enemies of humanity as well," General Sharif tweeted.

"Terrorists have hit at the heart of the nation. They are not only enemies of Pakistan but enemies of humanity," he stated.

“Very sad to hear about #PeshawarAttack. My heart goes out to the families of the innocent kids. Pray for them. May their souls rest in peace.”

The Army Chief also tweeted that, on intelligence inputs, 10 air attacks were launched TTP-dominated areas.
