Khalid also said he met China's Public Security Bureau officers and was given the profiles of all 153 Chinese nationals on the plane.
When asked why police were not focusing on areas such as mechanical problems and possible pilot error, Khalid said that it would be left to Malaysian Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) and the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).
Officials are still clueless what went wrong with the aircraft. None of the debris and oil slicks spotted in the water so far have proved to be linked to the disappearance. Relatives have expressed frustration at the lack of information about the plane's fate.
