And, the BJP is furious. Party president Nitin Gadkari announced a nationwide district-level demonstration against Shinde's remarks on January 24.



Gadkari said, Shinde's remark was an insult to Hindus, and the Hindu community will not take it lying down.

Party general secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad said, BJP workers will burn effigies of Shinde and Congress to protest this “irresponsible” remark by Shinde.
