New Delhi: Women have been used by many terrorist organizations as suicide bombers. There are many reasons which would compel a woman to strap on a bomb and take the lives of innocent bystanders.
Some may do so because they are seeking the revenge of the loss of a family member, unable to produce children, dishonored through sexual indiscretion. Predominantly, women are motivated by non political factors for these attacks.

1. Volgograd station blastAt least 18 people were killed and 40 injured in the Russian city of Volgograd on December 29, 2013 by a female suicide bomber.
The bomber detonated her explosives at the metal detector inside the main station.
Female suicide bombers known as ‘black widows' have carried out several attacks previously in the moth of October in Russia. These are claimed by Islamist militants.
Insurgent leader in the reagion Doku Umarov, a Chechen warlord, urged militants in a video posted online in July to use "maximum force" to prevent Putin staging the Olympics.
