New Delhi: Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck married his beautiful wife Jetsun Pema on October 13, 2011.
Jetsun Pema hd an Indian education. She studied in St Joseph's Convent in Kalimpong, West Bengal from 1999-2000 and later moved to Lawrence School, Sanawar, in Himachal Pradesh.
Jetsun is the second of her parents' five children. Her four siblings include two brothers, Thinlay Norbu and Jugme Namgyal, and two sisters, Serchen Doma and Yeatso Lhamo.
Jetsun Pema was born in Thimphu on 4 June 1990. Her father is a commercial pilot since 1989 with Druk Air.
King Jigme Khesar fell in love with Pema after meeting her when she was 7, when he promised himself that if he still had romantic feelings for Pema when he was older, he would marry her.
