New Delhi: US space agency NASA has revealed stunning new pictures of its SLS (Space Launch System) on Wednesday. This SLS will eventually be capable of lifting 130 tonnes into orbit.
It is set to become the largest rocket ever built. It is on track for its first test flight in 2017
The rocket is designed to carry astronauts farther into the solar system than ever before.
It is even hoped the craft could play a role in manned missions to Mars, being able to launch ‘stepping stone' bases into orbit.
It will provide an entirely new capability for human exploration beyond Earth orbit.
