New Delhi: Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of partition and the Army is capable of responding to an invasion by any external force.
The Kashmiri people are allegedly being subjected to injustice and atrocities, he said.
"Without resolving Kashmir issue according to aspirations of Kashmiris, peace in region is not possible," Sharif said.
He also said that nation's borders are well-guarded and that enemy (India) secretly attacked Pakistan 50 years ago and was responded befittingly.
"Armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable to deal (with) all types of internal and external threats, be it conventional or sub-conventional; whether it is cold start or hot start. We are ready," Sharif said.
Last week, Indian Army Chief Gen Dalbir Singh had said that the country must be prepared for short wars if Pakistan-backed violence in Jammu and Kashmir intensified and spread to other areas.
