Amman, Jun 13: A group of young men attacked the motorcade of Jordan's King Abdullah II with stones and empty bottles as he visited the southern city of Tafileh today, but no one was hurt, a security official said.
“Part of the king's motorcade was attacked with stones and empty bottles by a group of men in their 20s and 30s a after the king's car entered Tafileh,” the official told AFP.
“Nobody was hurt and the motorcade changed its route,” the official said without elaborating.
A palace source confirmed that members of the Royal Guard who accompanied the king were not hurt. AFP
