An Israelian woman, who had returned on Friday, after being quarantined on a cruise ship off Japan’s coast for the last two weeks, has been tested positive with novel COVID-19, making it the first case in Israel. Along with her 11 other Israeli travelers were also brought back to the country. The Israelian Health Ministry marked it as the first case of the new Coronavirus in the Jewish state.

At 4 am, a plane carrying the passengers from Japan was landed at Ben Gurion Airport's remote area, from where the quarantined travelers were taken to Sheba Medical Center, near Tel Aviv, on a van. They will spend their next 14 days in quarantine before getting released.

However, the other 10 travelers have been tested negative, but they will be kept under observation.

During this period the specialised doctors will keep checking the health conditions of the travelers to make sure they only leave without infectious Coronavirus.
