Tehran, Nov 6: Iran has said it will build a pipeline to facilitate exporting its oil products to Afghanistan, Xinhua reported.
“With the construction of this pipeline, part of the energy needed by Afghanistan will be met with full guarantee and security,” Iranian deputy oil minister Ali-Reza Zeighami was quoted by Press TV as saying Tuesday.
An Iranian delegation will soon travel to Afghanistan to discuss the details of the agreement, the minister said.
Iran's oil ministry has signed an agreement with Afghanistan's ministry of commerce and industry for the annual export of one million tonnes of Iranian oil products.
According to the contract, the Islamic republic is expected to export products including gas oil, jet fuel and gasoline to Afghanistan.
