New York, Sept 24: India today made it clear that its position on the statehood for Palestinians was well established and there is no change in it.
“Our position on Palestine issue is well established and well known. As far back as 1988 we recognised Palestine state and there is no change in it,” Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai told reporters here.
Replying to a question, he said it should not come as a surprise if there is a reference to the issue in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's speech to the UN General Assembly. PTI
