United Nations: As India marks the fifth anniversary of the Mumbai terror attacks today, it is “important” that the perpetrators of the “terrible crime” should be brought to justice, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's spokesperson said.
The 26/11 terror attacks, in which 166 people were killed, was a “terrible crime, an awful terrorist attack,” Ban's spokesperson Martin Nesirky told PTI here.
“certainly, it is important that those who were responsible are brought to justice. There has already been some action in that regard,” he said A commemorative event marking the fifth anniversary of the Mumbai attacks has been organised in New York today by the American India Public Affairs Committee along with the American Jewish Committee Asia Pacific Region.
Five years ago, 10 LeT terrorists launched coordinated attacks across key locations in Mumbai killing 166 people, including American citizens.
