Baku: Azerbaijan's state oil company (Socar) Wednesday resumed gas supplies to Russia, the company's CEO Rovnag Abdullayev announced.
The daily flow of gas from Azerbaijan to Russia is fluctuating from 2-2.5 million cubic meters, Xinhua quoted Abdullayev as saying.
Russia's Gazprom signed a supplying agreement with Socar in October 2009 and first began importing natural gas from Azerbaijan in January 2010. A five-year extension of the deal was signed in 2012.
Azerbaijan halted gas supplies to Russia for technical reasons on the morning of Jan 13.
