Gaddafi's secrets: Libyan dictator underwent late night plastic surgeries

New Delhi: Since Muammar Gaddafi's ignominous death at the hands of a rebel mob in October 2011, details about his brutality towards young girls-turned-sex slaves have been emerging gradually.Now a a plastic surgeon from Brazil has revealed in a BBC documentary, Mad Dog: Gaddafi's Secret World that the dictator has bizarre taste for cosmetic enhancement , done without anaesthetic in the early hours of the morning.He claimed that the he performed surgery on the dictator in the tunnels beneath his Tripoli palace.‘He wanted lipo filling because a desert man gets bad skin and we did the hair implant too,' explained Dr Liacya Ribeiro, a breast augmentation specialist based in Rio de Janeiro.‘The operation was performed with local anesthetic only. No sedation.' He added: ‘He [Gaddafi] was afraid that somebody might kill him.'But Dr Ribeiro remembers Gaddafi as a nice man and said ‘He was a very nice man, he was a television man,' says the doctor. ‘[But we would do operations at] 2am in the morning.'He also praised Gaddafi for providing all the facilities in order to operate over him. Doctor said ‘The surgery room in the bunker was very good.'Earlier a French journalist Annick Cojean revealed in her book “Gaddafi's Harem”,how Gaddafi imprisoned schoolgirls to abuse and rape on a daily basis. The horrifying evidence of the late dictator's serial sex crimes came to light while Cojean was investigating incidents of rape during Libya's 2011 revolution.Mad Dog: Gaddafi's Secret World has also revealed ‘Gaddafi's den' where he regularly raped young girls and forced them to watching pornography. The report said that it took the documentary-makers months of negotiations to be allowed access to information on Gaddafi as Libya remains secretive and hidebound by bureaucracy.
