Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar on Saturday refuted reports that the duo involved in Friday's terror attacks in France had visited his country.
Khalid said on his Twitter account that according to the result of the checks by Royal Malaysia Police, the two - Amedy Coulibaly and Hayat Boumeddiene - never entered the southeast Asian country, Xinhua reported.
Some foreign media reports said that Coulibaly and Boumeddiene had once traveled to Malaysia for holiday without giving specific dates of their trip.
Coulibaly was shot dead after he had taken several hostages in a Jewish supermarket in Paris Friday, while Boumeddiene was believed to have managed to escape.
