Quetta, May 25 : An earthquake of 4.8 magnitude jolted parts of Quetta, Pakistan's metropolitan of Balochistan Province on Thursday.
The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) said that an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 was reported in different parts across Quetta.
“The origin of the earthquake was 90 km North of Khuzdar,” the met department said.
The temblor struck parts of Quetta at around 1:30 AM.
Quake-struck residents rushed out of their houses fearing for their lives. Some people began firing in the air in order to alert neighbours sleeping in their houses about the impending danger.
