Cooper hospital started post mortem of Sushant Singh Rajput's body at 11 pm

After much uncertainty, it has come to light that Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem will be carried out tonight. His body has been kept in the mortuary of Cooper Hospital.

The team of doctors had been kept ready to carry out post-mortem for several hours, but police were waiting for Sushant Singh Rajput's relatives to arrive. 

Sushant Singh Rajput's friend Mahesh Shetty told Mumbai police that the actor was not taking his medicines for last few days.

Sushant Singh Rajput was under treatment for depression for last several months.

When Mahesh Shetty asked Sushant Singh Rajput about medicines, the actor replied that he didn't need them as he was fine. Mahesh Shetty said when he spoke with Sushant Singh Rajput, the actor seemed low on energy. 

When Shetty asked Sushant Singh Rajput above financial issues, he claimed that there was no such thing.

Bandra Police is talking about carrying out Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem tomorrow as no relatives are present.

His body has been kept in the mortuary of Cooper Hospital and there is uncertainty as to when exactly will the post mortem will be carried out.

Rahul Gandhi condoled death of Sushant Singh Rajput

"I am sorry to hear about the passing of #SushantSinghRajput. A young & talented actor, gone too soon. My condolences to his family, friends & fans across the world," he tweeted.

National President of Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) and ex-MP from Madhepura, Bihar, Pappu Yadav has demanded a CBI probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead at his Mumbai's Bandra residence on Sunday. The actor was found hanging in his room, police said.

Pappu Yadav, has demanded a CBI probe into actor's death saying that Sushant Singh Rajput cannot commit suicide. Taking it to Twitter, Pappu Yadav said that he met his father in Patna who wants a CBI probe to investigate death of his son.

Mumbai Police will take statement of Sushant Singh Rajput's younger sister

The authorities have decided to carry out Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem tonight. His body was examined for coronavirus infection with the help of CT Scan.

No infection was detected. 

Sushant Singh Rajput was under treatment for depression. However, no documents pertaining to his treatment have been found at his residence in Bandra.

Hours after Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide, his paternal cousin revealed that the actor was about to get married in the month of November. 

After postmortem, doctors collected Sushant Singh Rajput's sample for COVID-19 testing. 

According to the latest report, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was under depression and was receiving treatment for his mental health from Hinduja Hospital. 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also reacted to Sushant Singh Rajput's death and said, "It is astonishing and sad to see an emerging talented young artist like Sushant Singh Rajput depart from the mortal world. Pray to Lord Rama to rest his soul in peace... My condolences to his bereaved family. Om Shanti."

Sushant Singh Rajput's body is in Cooper Hospital. The post mortem has not been carried out. Cooper Hospital is waiting for a request letter from the police. 

However, the police has not even shared a copy of Panchnama with the hospital yet.

Home Minister Amit Shah has reacted to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and tweeted, "Anguished to learn about the sad and untimely demise of the young and very talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He will always be remembered for his contribution to Indian cinema. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and followers.

Sushant Singh Rajput completed his school education in Patna's St Karen's school. His schoolmates and classmates are mourning his death.

Sushant Singh Rajput had made a call to his sister this morning at 9:30 am. His last call was to actor Mahesh Shetty.

Mumbai Police is examining bank statements of Sushant Singh Rajput. They are trying to establish whether the actor was under debt.

Mumbai Police are in process to record statements from people near and dear to Sushant Singh Rajput. So far statements from five people have been taken. Sushant Singh Rajput's friends and domestic help's statements are being recorded.

Sushant Singh Rajput had scored an All India Rank of 7 in Delhi College of Engineering Entrance Examination in 2003. He then pursued Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (now Delhi Technological University) but dropped out in the third year of college to pursue acting. He was also a National Olympiad Winner in Physics. He cleared as many as eleven engineering entrance exams, including that for the ISM Dhanbad.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has offered condolences to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The Delhi CM took to twitter saying, "the tragic and shocking death of India's rising star Sushant Singh Rajput has left millions of his fans devastated. The masterly performances of his film and TV career will forever be remembered. May his friends and family have the strength to cope with this loss. RIP"

Sushant Singh Rajput's uncle, who lives in Patna, alleged that there was a "conspiracy" behind the actor's tragic death. He has demanded an inquiry into his death.

Mumbai Police officials emerged from Sushant Singh Rajput's home with a polythene bag which reportedly contains evidence pertaining to the tragic incident.

PM Narendra Modi on Sunday reacted to the death of Sushant SIngh Rajput saying, "...a bright young actor gone too soon. He excelled on TV and in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and fans. Om Shanti."

Reacting on Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "shocked to learn that super talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput is no more. He was from my city Patna. Remember meeting him in Rashtrapati Bhawan during oath taking ceremony last year. He had told me that his family lived in Rajiv Nagar, Patna. He had miles to go. He left too soon."

BREAKING: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajpur has committed suicide at his Bandra home in Mumbai. According to reports, Sushant Singh's Rajput's family help informed the Mumbai Police of the tragic news. Sushant's body was found hanging in his room. Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, acted in several films like - Dhoni, Chhichore, Kai Po Che, Kedarnath among others and his suicide news has sent Bollywood in the state of shock. Sushant was found hanging to the fan. Police will take his body for postmortem following which it will be handed to the family. 

It has not been clear now why Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide. Reports suggest Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment. It is still a mystery why the Bollywood actor has committed suicide. Mumbai's Additional CP Manoj Sharma confirmed the Shushant Singh's Rajput suicide news to India TV.
