Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh held a meeting with Ganeshotsav mandals and spoke about celebration of the festival amid coronavirus pandemic.

The commissioner discussed ways to celebrate Ganeshotsav while following rules of lockdown and social distancing.

Representatives of 10 Ganapati mandals including Lalbaug cha Raja, Ganesh galli cha Raja, Chinchpokli ch Chintamani.

Ganeshotsav is starting on August 22  this year.

Another Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawan has been found coronavirus positive. There are 22 active cases in ITBP ranks as of now. 194 persons have recovered.

No new death was reported in Dharavi in Mumbai today. 11 new cases were detected. This has brought total number of cases to 1964.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal directed Delhi Chief Secretary to ensure display of bed availability in Delhi hospitals. The display will be made on LED boards. Along with hospitals, it will be mandatory for clinics and nursing homes to display bed availability.

After dead body of 80-year-old coronavirus patient was found in toilet of the hospital, Jalgaon medical college Dean Bhaskar Khaire has been suspended by the hospital administration.

Twenty-six more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 867
