Coronavirus updates from Chhattisgarh
The number of COVID-19 cases in Chhattisgarh reached 3,897 on Saturday with 91 people testing positive in the last 24 hours, a health official said.
Chhattisgarh's COVID-19 figures are as follows: positive cases 3,897, new cases 91, deaths 17, discharged 3,070, active cases 810, people tested so far 2,04,932.

Bihar's COVID-19 death toll climbed to 118 on Saturday as seven more people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, while the number of cases rose to 15,039 with 709 fresh infections, the health department said.

Goa on Saturday reported 117 new COVID-19 cases, taking the count to 2,368, while three deaths during the day, including that of an 80-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man, increased the toll from the infection to 12, an official said.

Twenty-six more people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Sikkim, taking the total number of infections in the Himalayan state to 147 on Saturday, the Health Department said.

Coronavirus updates from Gujarat
Coronavirus cases in Gujarat rose to 41,027 with 872 new patients being reported on Saturday, the state health department said. Death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 2,034 with ten more fatalities, it said. The number of recovered cases went up to 28,685 after 502 patients were discharged, it said. There are now 10,308 active cases in Gujarat, out of which the condition of 73 patients is critical, the health department said in a release.
Gujarat COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 41,027, new cases 872, deaths 2,034, discharged 28,685, active cases 10,308 and people tested so far 4,57,066.

Coronavirus updates from Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu on Saturday recorded 3,965 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the infection count to 1,34,226 in the state, the health department said. A department bulletin said 69 people succumbed to the virus, pushing the death toll to 1,898.

2-day total lockdown in Shillong from Monday
The Meghalaya government on Saturday announced a two-day total lockdown in capital Shillong from Monday after the state reported the highest single-day spike of 76 COVID-19 cases. Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said that the decision was taken to contain the spread of COVID-19, besides ensuring behavioural changes among citizens to follow coronavirus-related guidelines.
Earlier in the day, the state reported 76 new cases, taking the total to 312.
There are 215 active cases in the state at present, officials said.

Coronavirus updates from Nepal
Nepal's COVID-19 cases jumped to 16,719 after 70 new infections were reported, while three more people succumbed to the coronavirus, taking the number of fatalities to 38, a senior health official said on Saturday. A total of 431 COVID-19 patients have recovered from infection in the last 24 hours.
The number of patients recovered from the disease has reached 8,442, said health ministry spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam.

Coronavirus updates from Uttar Pradesh
The COVID-19 tally in Uttar Pradesh crossed the 35,000-mark after the state recorded the highest single-day spike of 1,392 cases on Saturday, a senior official said. The state also reported 24 new fatalities, raising the toll to 913, Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said.
He said the state got seven more RT-PCR labs which would further increase its testing capacity.
On Saturday, 1,392 fresh cases were reported in the state, taking the tally of coronavirus positive cases to 35,092, Prasad said.
The number of active cases is 11,490, while 22,689 people have been discharged from hospitals after recovering from the infection, he said.
