    France: Macron to reveal lockdown exit plan next week

    There's some good news coming in during coronavirus crisis. The news is from the French capital Paris where President Emmanuel Macron is to release the exit lockdown plan early next week. Speaking to mayors through a video conference, Macron said that exit from lockdown will be introduced nationally and not region wise. "This would be a huge organisational challenge," Macron said in the video conference. The lockdown in France is set to end on May 11. 

    President Macron will, however, meet people from the industries including the hoteliers and restaurateurs. The lockdown exit for these service industries is expected to take a bit longer than others.

    Ahmedabad: Worrying news as COVID-19 cases in city doubling every 4 days

    India TV's Nirnay Kapoor has some worrying news from Ahmedabad. According to the Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner, the number of coronavirus cases in the city is doubling every four days. If the trend does not reverse, by May 15 there would be 50,000 COVID-19 cases in the city. And if it continues, by May 31, there would be almost 8 lakh cases in the city.

    2 more COVID-19 death in Malegaon

    Two more death is being reported from Malegaon due to the COVID-19 disease. 65-year-old farmer Kishan Mohan, who was admitted to the hospital on April 21 and diagnosed positive on the next day, today lost his battle to the disease spread by novel coronavirus. Another 37-year-old, Abdul Majid, known to his friend as Mohammed Usman, lost his battle at the Mansura hospital.

    4-month-old baby, infected with COVID-19, dies

    A 4-month-old child from Malappuram who had tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, lost her life today morning at Kozhikode medical college. The child was undergoing treatment for heart-related problems for the past 3 months and had pneumonia, Malappuram District Medical Officer said.
