Rajasthan reported two more coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday, taking their number to 11, as over 100 new COVID-19 cases surfaced in the state, officials said in Jaipur.

New York State registered 758 more deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours as Governor Andrew Cuomo on Sunday stressed that he will work with New Jersey and Connecticut on a coordinated plan to reopen the economy that also safeguards public health.

A day after objecting to "gradual dilution" of lockdown in West Bengal, the Union Home Ministry again wrote to the state government on Sunday asking it to take necessary action to ensure strict adherence to the curbs following alleged violation incidents in Murshidabad and Siliguri.

West Bengal reported two more COVID-19 deaths on Sunday, pushing the death toll due to the disease to seven in the state, even as the TMC government made wearing masks mandatory for people visiting public places.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Gujarat jumped to 516 on Sunday with 48 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus, a senior Health
department official said.

Two coronavirus deaths were reported in Telangana on Sunday taking the toll in the state due to the disease to 16, while 28 more tested positive, pushing the tally to 531.

Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit state in the country.

With 40 more persons testing positive for coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state climbed to 572,
Health department officials said.

Over 1,450 persons have been arrested across the state in the last 19 days for violating the ongoing lockdown to contain COVID-19, Assam Police said on Sunday.

Thirty-six people were arrested across Noida and Greater Noida on Sunday for allegedly defying restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 lockdown, police said.

Principal Health Secretary of Bihar has said that there were 64 positive cases of coronavirus in the state out of which 37 are active. 1 death has been reported so far.

Mumbai Police has turned a van into mobile sanitation chamber to disinfect policemen and women deployed across the city during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

Six doctors and five nurses have been found positive in Tamil Nadu. Out of the six doctors, 2 work with the government, 2 with the railways while the other 2 work in private hospitals. Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Beela Rajesh provided this information to the media.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that there were to be more coronavirus containment zones in Delhi in coming days.

Government on Sunday said that several countries had requested Hydroxucholoquine from India and after an assessment, India has released the drug for 13 countries.

Punya Salila Srivastava, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs, said that situation about supply of essential commodities was under control.
