Beijing: A Chinese man Hong Zhengqu spent eight years eating meals, using the toilet and sleeping in a one-square meter cage inside a smaller-than-10 square meter stone house in Jinjiang, a part of the city
Although Hong's family's behaviour may appear cruel and inhumane, this is not unheard of in rural China where there has been several cases of, mainly men, locked in cages for years.
