China is planning to shoot an unidentified object which it discovered flying over Qingdao district, reports have said.

According to The Paper, authorities in China were planning to shoot an unidentified object flying over waters of Qingdao Jimo district. Fishermen in the region have also been alerted to remain careful about their safety.

The development has come after three high-altitude flying objects were shot down by US figther jets in the recent days over United States and Canada.

Over the past week, tensions have erupted between US and China after the United States shot down a Chinese spy balloon when it was howering over the Atlantic Ocean.

US authorities said that the balloon was capable of collecting communication signals and flown over 40 countries.

However, China refuted claims made by the United States.

Meanwhile, US kept hitting at Beijing saying, “I think the Chinese were humiliated. They were caught lying, and it is a step back for them,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on ABC “This Week” programme.

“We can't just have a Cold War with them. We have to have a relationship with them. But China has taken advantage of us over and over and over again. And this administration has been just about tougher than any other,” Schumer added.
