China: Fire kills 36, injures 2 people workshop in Henan

China: Local news media reported that two people had been sent to the hospital after they sustained minor injuries. Both are in a stable condition, it further added.

China: As many as thirty-six people were killed while 2 went missing when a fire broke out at a trading firm plant in central China, local authorities said on Tuesday. 

According to the city's pblicity department, the fire that broke out on Monday in Wenfeng district of Anyang city in henan province took more than four hours to dive. 

Local news media reported that two people had been sent to the hospital after they sustained minor injuries. Both are in a stable condition, it further added. 

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Police have detained some suspects for investigation.

In August 2015, over 170 people were killed and 700 injured when blasts ripped through a warehouse in Tianjin Port, where large amounts of toxic chemicals were stored, including around 700 tonnes of sodium cyanide. China suffers frequent deadly fires and industrial accidents, often blamed on negligence.
