New Delhi: Chand Nawab, the Pakistani reporter who shot to fame after his hilarious piece to camera during the Eid festival went viral on social media, was today beaten up by the Karachi Police.
He was manhandled along with his crew while he was covering an assignment for 92 News Channel at the Karachi Cantt station.
As per the channel, Nawab's project was related to the departure timings of the trains.
But reportedly, he was also covering the scalping of train tickets when railway officials and police officers attacked the reporter and his team members.

Chand Nawab became a household name in India after a character inspired from him featured in Salman Khan's recent blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan. And this news of him getting beaten up has really come as a shocker for all those who admire him.
However, it is not yet clear whether Chand Nawab stepped out of the permitted limits while covering the news or it was an over reaction from the railway police.
Sindh minister Nisar Khuhro has taken notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry into it, said the channel.
