Pak violates ceasefire in two sectors along LoC in J-K's Poonch
Pakistani troops on Sunday shelled mortars in two sectors along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesperson said. PM Modi launches property cards under SVAMITVA scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched property cards distribution under Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) scheme through video conferencing. Here are some pointers from PM Modi's VC:
- For decades, crores of families in villages across the country did not have a home of their own. Today, nearly two crore poor families in the villages have got pucca houses.
- I'm delighted that such great work is being done on a day that has historic importance. Today, is the birth anniversary of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan and Nanaji Deshmukh.
- Now you have a right, a legal document to prove that your house is yours, you own it. This scheme is going to bring a historical change in the villages of our country.
- Today, the country has taken another major step towards AatmaNirbhar Bharat. The ownership plan is going to help a lot in making our brothers and sisters living in the village self-reliant.
