    3,987 new COVID-19 cases and 55 deaths reported in West Bengal today. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 3,89,576 including 36,246 active cases, 3,46,262 discharges and 7,068 deaths.

    Maharashtra reports 5,505 new COVID-19 cases

    Maharashtra reported 5,505 new COVID-19 cases, 8,728 discharges and 125 deaths, as per the State Health Department.  COVID-19 tally of the State rises to 16,98,198 including 15,40,005 recoveries and 44,548 deaths. Active cases is at 1,12,912.

    Ladakh records 84 fresh cases of COVID-19

    Ladakh has recorded 84 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the virus caseload in the union territory to 6441, according to an official bulletin. The union territory has recorded a total of 76 deaths, while 5701 patients have been cured of the novel disease so far.

    Of the new cases, 71 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Leh district and 13 others in Kargil district, according to the bulletin released by Directorate of Health Services.

    Maoist leader arrested in Jharkhand

    A Maoist leader, wanted in several criminal cases, have been arrested in Jharkhand's Palamu district, a police officer said. Acting on a tip-off, a police team nabbed Kripal alias Ramesh (38) in Panki police station area on Tuesday, when he was on his way to Abun village to meet his family. According to the officer, the police had been looking for Kripal for the past four years. He has been named accused in more than six incidents of Naxal violence, the officer added.

    Odisha reports 1,201 new COVID-19 cases, 12 fresh fatalities

    Odisha's COVID-19 caseload mounted to 2,94,415 on Tuesday as 1,201 more people tested positive for the infection, while 12 fresh fatalities pushed the coastal state''s coronavirus death toll to 1,352, a health department official said.

    As many as 697 new cases were reported in quarantine centres, while 504 infections were detected during contact tracing.

    612 dengue cases till Oct 31 in Delhi: SDMC
