New Delhi: The Secretary General of the Arab League, Dr. Nabil Elaraby arrived in New Delhi on Monday to bolster bilateral ties and possibly sign an updated Memorandum of Cooperation of the Arab-India Cooperation Forum.
New Delhi first signed the agreement with the 22-member Arab League in 2008.
Elaraby is also expected to meet top leadership including External Affairs Minister, Salman Khurshid and Vice President Hamid Ansari, during his visit.
India's total bilateral trade with Arab countries is over USD 110 billion.
The region is home to 4.5 million Indians and caters to 70 per cent of India's energy requirements.
