Islamabad: Seven terrorist hideouts were destroyed and at least 25 suspected militants were killed in an offensive operation carried out by the security forces in Pakistan's South Waziristan and Khyber tribal agencies Wednesday, media reported.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said the operations were carried out in Sanzila area of South Waziristan and Tirrah Valley in Khyber Agency, Geo News reported.
The statement said that at least 25 militants were killed and seven terrorist hideouts destroyed during the operation.
The army launched a major offensive in 2014 against foreign and local militants in the northwestern tribal region bordering Afghanistan after the militant attack on the country's busiest airport in Karachi.
