Kabul, Nov 17: A total of 11 Taliban militants have been killed and 12 others arrested in Afghanistan during a series of security operations launched since Friday, Xinhua reported Saturday.

According to the country's interior ministry, these operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Paktika, Paktiya, Helmand and Farah provinces.

There were no casualties on the police personnel.
