Islamabad: Ten new polio cases have been reported in Pakistan, raising the total number of such cases to 184.
The health department officials have said the cases were registered from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Karachi.
According to officials, the count of polio cases is increasing every year.
Earlier this month, 13 new cases of polio were reported from the FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh and Balochistan province.
Fifty-eight cases were reported in 2012 and 93 in 2013.
Pakistan, which is already facing travel restrictions imposed by the World Health Organisation, is at the top of the last three polio endemic countries in the world - the other two being Nigeria and Afghanistan.
