Islamabad: Over 1,000 people have been booked and at least 10 arrested while two senior officials were removed over the recent sectarian clashes in Pakistan that forced authorities to impose curfew and call in the



Over 80 people were injured.

Unidentified persons also torched a portion of the cloth market at Raja Bazar in Rawalpindi.

The army was called in to control the situation and curfew was imposed in the city for three days.

"We will make an inquiry to provide some relief to the affected people," said Justice Mamoonur Rasheed, who is heading a judicial probe into the violence.
